Reviews
I gave my parents as a gift. I wanted something that 's comparable to Dyson in terms of quality, but not in price. I read good reviews and decided to try on this monster. I took my mother 's house and vacuum the whole house. Later, I became a believer, this thing does the same work that Dyson. Easy to empty the dirt. All the good review to read about this product is all true!
Watch video here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R38QQJJVJ0O5ZG this model is essentially the 5 .770 Bissell Healthy Home Vacuum with The Kinks worked. It 'sa powerful upright vacuum with a motorized brush and a HEPA filter built-in, and compares well with other Vacuums and above price range. R rmy dog is essentially a five-foot-diameter sphere of hair, and around this time of year (autumn) The double Yard MOP as everything in the courtyard, Mops and I drag to the house. So I need a vacuum rather heavy to handle all the hair of the dog, in addition to all yard trash, leaves, sticks, pine straw, etc.. Drag that I have. This vacuum has the power to manage all this. Updates R rPrimary in 5770 are: r r1) Sharp English in the internal alignment tube were developed, so there is less chance of clogging form. The 5770 had an annoying habit of internal development clogs I 'd have to bust out the screwdriver to undo. (Usually, these were my fault - and a testimony of Bissell 's power, like the time I accidentally vacuum cleaner on one of the rubber feet from my Bowflex - but again, the lightweight design improvement here). R R2) there 's best-placed pair of hooks to wrap the power cord (and some of them can be stowed inside), which makes setting this thing and put it away for the use of again after a little 'easier. R R3) Some of the parties appear to have been (slightly) better. The tube is a bit 'stronger, the electric cable is twice as long. R R4) The spot to stow the "brush turbo " attachment has a better catch - the 5770, you tend to fall apart and just come down every now and then remained in the room, instead of handily connected to machine. Now, is not a problem. R R5) The HEPA filter was placed on the bottom of the central column, rather than to the side. Again, this helps with the alignment internal / clogging issues above - Less internal English sharp. R R6) My box didn 't ship with the pitcher of "ARCOSANA Dustmite Control Powder " came with my 5770 Healthy man. I don 't know if this was because he was a "review " vacuum comes from the program or if Bissell ' s off the stuff - I never used the same - but it's a difference from the original. R R7) The 16N5 is slightly "light " that building 5770, and feel a bit 'less durable. I suspect this has been done to save weight, and 's probably a good global change - it still feels very solid, and this is something I think you ' d notice only when a side-by-side comparison . R rOverall, this is still a big gap, and stands up well to bad I give it. If you already have the 5770, the differences are quite subtle between the two models that I wouldn 't bother upgrading, but if you ' re in the market for a family Workhorse heavy duty vac, this is a good choice.
Vac This may be considered a step down from a dc17, especially in price. Now after owning both (as well as a cheaper $ 150 range Hoover), allow me to share my experience. R rBefore you read the full review, I will give you a summary of likes: r rManual Adjustment - does not damage carpets rBeater Button Bar is separated from power, no way of accidentally bumping it rAlthough it is heavy, it pushes easily RI stantad manual like the foot switch to lower head. rHas a light (its not a big deal until you miss it:)) r rThings it needs improvements on: bin rDust hinge / door should be spring loaded rhose length. Its moderate, but not long enough to do stairs on my 2nd story (Truss with 9 'cielings) rhose attachement / detatchments are klunky rMore accessories. Would gladly pay $ 20-30 more for better accessories. Especially if they could clip to the machine. R r r rNow for my full review! R rCarpet types in our homes: r rBerber rFrieze rPlush rCut Loop rArea of shorter pile rugs and plush loop styles. r rHouse - 2 story, 2 sets of stairs, carpet on 3 floors. High cielings and windows; dusty fridges, etc.. r r r rOur cheaper vac was having issues losing suction power, so we bought a Dyson. We did the test, vacuming The hell out of it with our old, then one quick vac with Dyson. We were in awe. Dyson sucked up so much more it seemed. Until we realized vacuming after 6th time it was picking up carpet fibers instead of dirt, and Destroying our carpets. Every vac job would fill our bin full of carpet fiber, on all carpets (and plush frieze were the worst). R rSo we looked for a new vac, this has a manual pile height adjustment. So you can put it in a very gentle beater. It comes with basic attachments, and they function sufficiently. R rNow lets go through the pro 's and cons of both: r rCarpet Damage: I could run this on my Dyson now fraying and suck up carpet fibers. Bissel This though did not even suck up one bit of carpet fiber. However we got a small wad of hair, dustballs, and the like. r rSuction / cleaning: Its hard to say, they probably are very similar. As stated with the dc17 it was hard to tell how much actual dirt you had in the 8 "ball of carpet fibers. R rTool airflow seems similar, in fact - probably Dyson has The Edge in this regard. I have heard the bagged version of the Hoover windtunnel outdoes both. r rQuality of construction: Similar; both seem to be well built; both feel solid. dysons The springs were panging after a few months - but otherwise not much changed. r rEase of emptying bin: Dyson is spring loaded. I miss that feature on this. r rCyclone cleaning / clogging: Bissel Dyson and are similar. They both will need cleaning every other week most likely. More often if you fill up the bin entirely. r rDirt Capacity / Storage: Dyson won. This is good enough, but Dyson held more. Perhaps it was needed for each room of carpet fiber:) r rAttachment Convenience: Dyson won hands down. bissel This you have to disconnect a hose, then attach the wand, then attach your attachment end. luckily all can be caried on the machine, but it is a clunky process. I miss the pop up and out of style dysons hose / wand. r rhose Length : This falls a little short, dysons was longer. r rAttachments included: I miss dysons giant Duster extremely soft. That was a bonus compared to the basic set. r rNoise: This is quieter, you do not have the sound whirring of beater brush due to it having too much contact with carpet. r rButtons: This is much much better than Dyson. When your beater bar is off, its off. No way of accidentally engaging it when powering on the vac, then Destroying an entry rug (did that with my Dyson). r r r r rThis thing was too klunky to use on stairs. I wound up buying a cordless vac from black and decker that has a beater bar to do my steps (its the one adjustable arm). Works great, esp since amazon has them on the cheap:) r ri still break out the hose every now and then though ..
The vacuum cleaner I got to check, has a defective switch that does not result in the automatic tool changing suction mechanism to work reliably. Since the vacuum has a five-year warranty, I know this can be solved, but I won 't have done it until I move to a new home next spring. (I am now camping with my sister.) Let me part of the tool out of the way quickly and take the rest of the features that I can check more closely. R rBecause the defective switch, I hesitate to comment on the strength of suction when using the telescopic wand and tools on board, but I like the nested efficient brush / soft dusting brush head. It's weird, but sometimes great and sometimes tedious work, I prefer a brush, the outlines by bending the brush itself, not a hard angle, bend in the tool head itself. But it 's better than no brush head at all - no brush came with my other vacuum. So, it 's difficult for me to get the plastic telescopic wand to correct, since blocked my arthritic hands, I ' ll probably follow another reviewer 's proposal to one from aluminum is a Bissell so it ' s not always collapse on me. R rEverything From here to the correct vacuum without tools. I have a Bissell: 37,604 Lift-Off ® Revolution ® Pet Vacuum cleaner with similar turbo tool, now in storage that we use for dog hair in a heavily carpeted house. I like the color and look better than the Bissell Healthy Home (HH), which is an army green thingies with yellow Dyson-like cone speaker, but the HH is clear, "the stronger vac on the carpet. The revolution 's Lift Canister-off is the courage of the machine will not help a feature of HH, in his place has a much larger collection of HH Cup, which is beautifully designed, with allergies in an empty plastic bag to contain the dust. I ' d prefer the HH 's Cup more dust, I was always stopping by and the revolution empty ' s much smaller dust cup. Remove the telescopic wand / tools on the HH long enough stairs without a canister clean. R rWhen you turn on the HH, is literally costs down, that dirt get to say. (Instead of, it 's "self-propelled, " I would call it "Gung-Ho. ") The Revolution while pushing lighter than many vacuum, is not nearly as happy to help you do work. I don 't have the two machines side by side to compare their noise levels, but the HH is very quiet for a vacuum cleaner - if memory serves, a Little is quieter than the Revolution. Also, when I test it on the carpet outside on the deck (the bare floor setting is best for this), I ran across something that The Edge had a frayed thread, and the vacuum suction around five yards before I could react the thread and turn on the machine. The revolution would not have done that so clearly, the HA has very powerful suction. (Note that if your carpet has loose threads!) R rmy sister 's vacuum cleaner) is the choice (for her apartment with hardwood / ceramic tile floors and outdoor carpet on the deck of her 20 +-year-old filter Queen Princess II Canister Vacuum. (This is probably an unfair comparison, but it 's all that I compare to the bare wood with the performance of the HH too.) deactivated with a brush, not the HH vacuum up pet hair from almost bare Soil and The Filter Queen is doing, and they are reluctant to rely on the brush again for fear of damaging her beautiful shiny wood floors. Also, because many small things to sit on the ground is permanently installed dog doors between the rooms, and other obstacles, she prefers working with a canister VAC with a stick upright. The Filter Queen 's brush is far superior for their purposes than the HH ' s because it has a very thick, long, flexible brush head that they can angle by pressure on them. With the HH 's hard-angled head you have determined to work to correctly position the head to everything that ' s vacuum not clear, flat, angled correctly width. Vacuuming is a folding chair leg is light, sucking on the other hand, requires repositioning themselves fully and / or the vacuum. R rthe HEPA filters of the HH, but is a real winner, and so is the ease and diversity of ground-height settings. For someone with allergies, a HEPA filter is crucial to know and appreciate each with a broken back, how much easier it is to the house as long as you vacuum don 't get a few things in the way of HH 's broad way. I would like a healthy home for the person who is recommended by their home especially carpets - watch out for loose threads! - And who needs help real power to help them to vacuum. R burl I have repaired the defective switch, I 'll come back I try to remember, and give both an update on the suction tool and my experience with the repair to ... ..
Usually, my 4-year-old son had to get out of the House for me to do the vacuuming. He has an aversion to loud noise. I have tried at least half a dozen Vacuums in the past 4 years. This is the first that does not cause tears. In fact, he used a vacuum cleaner! When I first showed her the vacuum, He Was inserted in his ears the sound of fear the inevitable. He was surprised that it was relatively quiet. I 'm not saying it makes no sound, but it makes very little noise. R rPros: r Reasy to gather rReally get dirt out of your carpet rQuiet !!!!! RLightweight rManeuvers easy rExtra long cord (30 feet) RNO bags to buy rLifetime belt Rwanda extends to 8 feet! Works perfectly for the 10 foot ceiling! R5, yes FIVE-year warranty! R rcon: r rI have not found a con yet
For comparison, we currently have a $ 399 Dyson, upstairs, and a $ 89 Dirt Devil, downstairs. And five dogs. R r First thing about the Bissell, it is a big, fairly heavy machine. You don 't want to July it up and down stairs. We used it first where we use the Dirt Devil, what amazed us was it picked up so much more dirt / hair that we had to empty the container twice. Not really a fair comparison pricewise given the price difference, but really much better cleaned and the carpets looked even better. R rit also seems to rival it more expensive competitors, the Dyson. It seems to pick up as much and it does not seem to lose suction as the container fills, the Dyson does not seem to lose a little. Container is easy to empty. One area where the Bissell Clearly beats the Dyson is the extension hose is much, much easier to use. Only minor issue is the beater brush has its own on / off switch under the power button, no big deal, but the Dyson beater for automatically turns on the carpet and off for bare floors. The turbo brush works well. R rFinally, I usually have some "issues " with my eyes after vacuuming with dander being thrown in the air by the vacuum. The Bissell seemed to do a better job on containing it and I didn 't really notice any allergy problems. Would recommend if you have allergy problems.
We were using a small vacuum for a while before they put this, considering that the old 's performance was never so great We decided that we ' d give this model an attempt ... We 're so glad that I did! R rFirst of all, editing is easy, the directions are clear and the only tool you need is a Phillips screwdriver to the 4 screws that are included (it was recorded in the bottom of the handle) to handle and cord wrap. Once assembled, the first thing I noticed is that it was lighter than expected for the appearance of it. R Ryou handle positions the vacuum with a pedal and there is a button that helps adjust the height gap under the carpet. Once adjusted the handle has two buttons: ON / OFF and brush, the "brush 'button controls the vacuum ' s rotating brush, say You 're clean the bare soil or soft carpet, you can turn 'Brush ' outside if necessary. The vacuum is quieter than my old (old is considering a smaller model) and has a wide cleaning path, which is also covered by a protective guard furniture in case you accidentally hit something, both protection the furniture and vacuum. R RWE began to use and we were surprised by the amount of dirt picked up! The suction power of this model really puts into perspective the functionality of our older vacuum. The turbo brush is wonderful too, we use to clean our sofa and the blinds not only can see the amount of dust collected in the tray, but we saw a big difference on the couch after it was cleaned, it looked as clean as new! The blinds are no longer 'dust smell ' that had been cleaned before! What does the turbo brush is rotating brush that its basically removes dirt so that it can be succionada by Bissell 16N5. R reales included a couple brushes that can be used when needed to remove dirt or similar tool you can use the crack to clean small or narrow spaces, as well as tube length, very useful for me to clean the blinds (if the hose is enough, but I found the extension to be more usable) r rthe bin collection is designed to be easy to clean, in my opinion this is one of Key features of this model. It is bagless, so simply remove the tray, place a garbage bag to collect dust inside and empty, as simple as that! Instead of emptying and washing a bag, simply dusting and cleaning the bowl with a cloth. R, Radda in all the advantages already mentioned 5-year warranty and this product is blowing and making bottles. We are very happy with the Bissell 16N5 certainly exceeded our expectations.
My previous vacuum was a Eureka Altima, so the Bissell Healthy Home is a huge improvement. The increased suction (and power) is obvious. I 've read from past reviewers that a big complaint was the weight of the Bissell, but it ' s about 5 pounds lighter than the Eureka, so it 's an improvement for me. This new model is even a few pounds lighter than the old one too. It costs about twice as much as a decent vacuum, but with cats and a dog in the house, it 's totally worth it. It 's easier to turn and does a much better job on the carpet. After using it, the carpet looks like it 's new again. When used on the wood floor, dirt that is close to the vacuum gets pulled in. The suction from the attachments aren 't incredibly powerful, but they ' re sufficient - and more importantly, constant. So far, it seems to be a good purchase. I would highly recommend it.
We have actually 2 vacuums in our house - one is a Dyson DC15 we use the bottom (where the dog lives) and the floor of Sharp is a void that we bought 12 years ago. The Bissell 16N5 is used to replace the old Sharp vacuum and there is really Sharp colors stand out in all directions. R rWhen compared to the Dyson vacuum cleaner that Bissell is close to the performance but there are some fundamental differences. First, let me say that the suction on the Bissell is very good and the vacuum has a good overall ergonomics. R rAdvantages Bissell: R1) Vacuum Bissell extends further under furniture because of the low-profile design of the head R2) The rod / feature turbo brush is probably a little more comfortable that the Dyson, but it is probably more a matter of personal preference, since the two vacuum systems have good wall r rAdvantages Dyson: R1) The main advantage of the Dyson is maneuverability. The ball on the Dyson vacuum really helps when traveling in general, and once you get used to this option, other vacuums seem a little awkward. R 2) The second advantage of the Dyson is the length of the cord - the cord on the Bissell is about 5 feet shorter and you can really make a difference when moving between rooms. R ri think this vacuum is really worth a 5 star rating, especially considering the price difference between the two units. For much less money than the Dyson, the vacuum, gives what appears to be the same aspiration level and almost all the same features. It seems a real bargain. R Ras far as the Sharp goes, I 'm happy to finally be rid of a vacuum equipped with a bag. The bagless vacuum is really the way forward and we 're now planning to let the dog upstairs Bissell since that is easy to challenge all the shedded hair:).
Perhaps I 'ma bit pathetic for getting excited about a vacuum cleaner, but this one is actually pretty fun to use (relative to other vacuum cleaners). What makes it fun is the see-through container where you get to witness the results of your hard work. R rit 's actually pretty shocking (to me at least) how many dance form from dust vacuuming just one room. It 's gross and cool at the same time. I suppose that some people could have a problem with seeing all of that disgusting dust and dirt that gets vacuumed up, so if you gag when cleaning out your dryer filter, vacuum bag, vacuum or handheld, then perhaps this isn 't the vacuum for you. But my whole family agreed that was pretty cool seeing the CRUD. It helps you easily know when it 's time to empty the Filth, and you see the results of your work. Once you see just how your carpet is disgusting, you might even want to vacuum (GASP) every day. R rThis vacuum cleaner is very good looking, and the display filters are pretty cool looking. The color is also very pleasing. R ri especially liked the simplicity of the controls. There are exactly two buttons: power on / off and brush on / off. A pet peeve of mine on my prior vacuum was how many buttons it had. When switching from carpet to hard wood floor, for example, you had to study the buttons to know which buttons to press. On this one, you simply turn on or off the brush. There is also a carpet height adjustment dial, and you will need to adjust this if you have thick carpet. I found the default setting to be too low, and the vacuum is very difficult to push if it is set too low. So if you find it hard to push, just raise the vacuum via this dial. It is not self-propelled, so this may not be the best vacuum for your grandma, especially if she has thick carpet. R rMy favorite feature by far is the container BAGLESS. I have never owned a BAGLESS vacuum before, so this was a new treat for me. No more running out of vacuum bags or trying to find the best deal for new vacuum bags. You simply dump the container, just like a handheld vacuum. The absence of a vacuum bag makes this more environmentally friendly, since you 're not having to purchase and throw away all of those vacuum cleaner bags. R Rone tip when Emptying the container is to make sure you have it over a trash bag before you open it. For some reason, I thought that pressing the release button would just open a door, and then I could simply pour it out. Nope. Pressing the release button opens the entire bottom of the container and dumps it out promptly. Oops. So make sure you have it over a trash can or trash bag before you dump it. I usually empty it out in a carpeted room, so I can then simply vacuum up any mess I make. R ras far as assembly goes, this vacuum cleaner assembly required a bit more than I am used to compared to other vacuum cleaners. It 's no big deal, but allow up to 30 minutes to fully Assemble this vacuum cleaner. You 'll need a Phillips Screwdriver. The instructions are very good. R r also really like the clear labeling all over the vacuum cleaners. The labeling helps you know what to plug in where. All accessories (hoses, brushes) have a man attached to the vacuum, so you won 't forget where you put the attachments. R rin summary, I highly recommend this vacuum cleaner, as long as you don ' t need A self-propelled vacuum (use those muscles, it 's good for you), and as long as you don ' t pass out at the site of dirt and dust balls.
WOW! This thing will suck the chrome off a tow hook! Seriously, this is an awesome vacuum. I was skeptical going in, as had always type empty bag in the past. The bagless model I had, the budget price of Shark model boat, left me disappointed with its cleaning power, noise and inconvenience of emptying out the container of debris and dust. In addition, Let 's front, there are a lot of gaps around cheaply made. R 16N5 rthe Bissell Healthy Home Bagless Upright, however, made a good impression of quality from the beginning. The cleaning power is really impressive. In fact, so much extra Crute comes from the carpet when using this model that makes me seriously question the appropriateness of the carpet to begin with. Are not we living in large floor-mounted magnets dust and microbes? Ewwwwwwwwwwwww .... R Rbut, if that 's have the flooring then this is the tool for you. The extension hose is a generous length, and path cleaning width is extremely useful to do the job. Highly recommended.
This vacuum is better than my $ 300 Kenmore vacuum. It could suck the right Pajamas your body, if you leave and there 's very little amplification here. R rBelow are the pros and cons. CONS was because of the emptiness that I rated this four stars. R rPROS: r r-assembly is quite easy - although I have not had to use a drill down along the screw in the upper WHY operating wouldn 't go right in with one of three Phillips screwdrivers I tried. However, I attribute to my lack of strength in his hands, and not a problem with the vacuum. R r-The TurboBrush, brush combo, Lancia Tool, telescopic extension wand, and all are easily accessible for use. R r-The vacuum takes a lot of dirt because of the tremendous suction. It is very difficult to use on pads, rather than use the extension wand with TurboBrush. R r-filter screen (behind the metal box of dirt) is easily accessible and only needs to be cleaned periodically. R r - The canister is easy to remove dirt and empty and the lower part can be completely removed and washed by hand if necessary. R r-circular HEPA filter on the bottom and is easy to get to replace (without tools). R r-The bulb is easy to replace the time to remove two screws from plastic wrap on the bottom of the unit. You 'll need to engage the release handle to get to that area. R r-Each point on the instrument blank and has its own storage place. For example, the cord wraps nicely around the screw holding the back of the unit and the cable can be released easily with the quick-release "tab. " R r rCONS: r r-assembly instructions should indicate that you must push on the work at the end of the hose down the hole on the right side of the vacuum. The pit has a white plastic curve "finger " in it that seems to be fused in place. However, it moves, it is extremely difficult to hold, when to sit the tube. I was afraid of breaking it. Finally sitting properly when I put the full force of my body in the pants Hose. After doing this once, it was relatively easy searching later. R r-The TurboBrush is very difficult to remove from its resting place in the handle. Every time you remove it, I feel like I 'm going to break the lip of plastic that holds it in place. It would be nice if this Bissell designed differently. My boyfriend also tried this and agreed. R rL'estensione holder rod (which looks like a miniature cup holder) on the right side of the vacuum arrived broken. Bissell recommend allowing the customer to install this, instead of letting it come pre-installed. The risk is very high, it will break. I called Bissell for a spare part.Although reported were surprised it was broken, they decided to send me a replacement in 10 days. It should be an easy replacement, because only two screws to hold the rod holder. R r-since I have pets, I often had to clean the beater bar (vertical brush in the bottom of the unit) and the TurboBrush. This is expected, however, the TurboBrush is designed so that a part of it is difficult to clean, because the finger can not fit into the plastic piece on the left side because of being too close to The Edge of the unit. Instead I had to use tweezers to pull hair out. If the spacing Bissell just a bit more ', this wouldn ' t be an issue. ROverall R, this gap is a great buy and more people would be satisfied with the results with an auditorium. If you have allergies, be aware that, regardless of the method used to empty the dirt canister, one encounters the dust. Also, if you have pets, a lot of hair must be pulled by hand from the container, because only doesn 't "fall " out. Despite this, I absolutely love the vacuum and it does my boyfriend ...
I 've been using the original Bissell Healthy Home VAC for almost two years and have been very pleased with it. This latest version builds on the original strength and added some new features. R RMY biggest complaints with the original weight Healthy Home. Bissell has answered this common complaint by making a new model by a few pounds lighter. However, lighter weight seems to come at the cost of solid construction - parts such as handles and the collection bin was less substantial. I know you can 't equate resistance with weight loss, but the initial impression of the new models that ' s less resistant to knocks and bruises who tend to take vacs. Too early to tell, yet. This has a five-year warranty like the old model. R rAssembly a snap - two screws to the handle (which is no longer hidden, so they are easy to enter) and two screws to wrap the cord. R rOperationally, who had just preforms VAC and old-fashioned. I have seven cats. Yes, seven. This is the house where Vacuums get tested. The Bissell took all that thrown it with nary a problem. Carpet very good suction, good suction device. Easy to maneuver with a large, non-marring wheels. R RAS in the old model, the bat can be turned off for carpet hard floors or very fine / thin carpet used. The switches have been repositioned so that they are not easy to hit accidentally. Mixer has a clutch, so if it will be bound in something that stopped play than to burn out the belt. The belt is (according to Bissell) to "life-time " belt. R rthe high carpet can be adjusted with buttons. I prefer to type manually since the automatic adjustment of the model fit other brands never seem to get it right on some carpet. Allows you to do it manually set to a higher altitude is more subtle carpet, and a lower, more aggressive high for carpets that have surged more to get pet hair / dirt out. R rthe HEPA filter has been removed from the underside of the VAC for garbage collection. According to Bissell, this functionality allows for a better / cleaner exhaust. It seems to work well, but the old method also works well. After the filter in-line does not make VAC narrow - that 's probably the main benefit. R rit still has a foam (washable) pre-filter. Great feature to extend for the life of non-washable HEPA. I 've been getting about 18 months living out of the HEPA filters in the old model. R rthe hose routing has changed. It 'sa much harder to drive than the old model for tool use, but still pretty easy compared to the vacs i ' ve used. R bin collections rthe also easy to take off and empty. I prefer bagless since I can 't stand to pay for the bag.New bin has straight sides to help get all the CRUD out. However, garbage disposal out of any mess can bagless VAC, and you sometimes have to reach in large clumps out of lightweight materials (such as cat fur). If you have a big allergy or just don 't like dealing with this case, you may want to consider securing the model. R rTips: r r1) Every so often take a separate collection bin and wash it. Very fine dust can collect on Cyclonic space, and can Affect performance. Make sure all parts are bone dry before putting them back in the VAC. R r2) I recommend you replace the plastic rod with an aluminum bat. You can get the site online Bissell (register online and you 'll get free shipping). Metal rod that was stronger than plastic and also has a positive click stops to ensure it does not fold when you push hard. R r3) Head contour is also a good add-on if you have pets. It is a non-powered head (not like the turbo head included) the better for fine fabrics or furniture throw the loose threads that can be obstacles. You can get it from Amazon or Bissell. R R4) If you want a full size floor brush, according to Bissell model from Sears. R rin In short, this is an excellent VAC. The new model takes a few steps forward and maybe just a half-step back (quality of construction). If you can get the old model at a discount, it 's good value if you can handle the load. If not, this model is also highly recommended ... ..
First, I 'd like to thank Amazon for their lightning fast shipping! I ordered this thing through the vine on Thursday and here it is Saturday and I finished my first cleaning my new vacuum. R RI also have to admit, I am a real penny pincher when it comes to appliances and cleaning supplies. So my first vacuum was a Dirt Devil Which lasted about 8 years before we retired it for negative performance. We replace it with a Bissell vacuum Clear View last summer. I have some issues with the Clear View "Which kind of off me, especially since the particular model scorched a hole in my carpet stairs! R RWE literally days from a return to Dirt Devil models when I was offered by the model of the vine and well it is easy to make the decision to try it. Model is completely changed my opinion on Bissell. Everything is like vacuum well thought out and well constructed. Lang I had nothing to with my full house Thursday night in the old Bissell lower end models and just now I went back through half of my house and got a whole new dirt cup full of surprises! Gunky things stringy gray, cat litter that is left behind, that is playdoh ground carpet in my kitchen and it even greatly reduce the stigma list in my back room. R rNow for some feature I am very happy with: r r-The brush on / off switch is really nice when you just want the wand to work. r r-brush shuts off when the vacuum is in the straight position. (which which has saved my carpet from being scorched by my first Bissell) r r-May DIVERTER flap at the base of the hose enters Which wand provides 100% power when removed. r The r-Telescoping wand makes my 8 foot ceilings available! and vacuum does not tip when I use my wand, which is always an issue in my previous vacuums. R r-Wide cleaning path. R r-higher quality feel than my Clear View. R r-Cleans the air as I vacuum, removing pet dander, pollen and ragweed and filters are easy to replace and inspect. The filtering is really important to our family because we live in NE PA Which is reputedly the worst areas of the country for allergens! R r-life belt. R r-2 ways to empty the dirt cup. from below and from above. My new Bissell Clear View is a nightmare to completely clean up and if I could tell you how many times I dumped excess debris from the cup onto my freshly cleaned carpet ? arrrgh! not!) R R-Dirt cup is higher than my Clear View 's. R r-The Turbo Brush doesn 't fall off his hand. (that was a big gripe with other vacuum) r r-it actually Cleans floor vacuum my hardwood as well as it cleans my carpets. The Clear View kinds of kicks things around a bit and find myself hunting down dust bunnies in the wand. R r-"Finally, vacuum it seems a lot quieter than the Clear View Which is pleasant from my son has sensory issues and loud noises really bother her ears. R r-hold on a second, I almost forgot the 5 year warantee! That was refreshing to see the full package.) R rSome can complain about the primary or the weight of the vacuum. Honestly, I don 't see them as issues at all. I see it this way - you can ' t expect quality materials lite hair especially when dealing with motors. R also all way possible Bissell came through. Bissell Thanks, you really changed my opinion of your quality and performance. R r11/27/09 - I add some to review. I actually made This on top of the stairs now with the extension wand not even drag the vacuum up to me! And it didn 't tip the vacuum or pull the hose out of the house! That really impressed the wife. Some years I 've tottered on the steps balancing trying to vacuum and clean the other hand? That feature alone is worth it - no more aching back ...
Only it had for two weeks, but was very impressed that the amount it raised go to the first round. I can 't believe that I am with all the dirt. Comparing these and the Dyson DC14 side by side in the store and they had a better feeling (not the best way to test) and produce the internal design (air ducts in the air cyclone) are virtually the same on the DC14 and them one . We have a small vac that we use on stairs, so I can talk 't like it, it works.
We had a Dirt Devil previously. It lasted for quite some time .... or so I thought! We have two cats and a 13 months old baby. She 's on the floor constantly and I really wanted to make sure our floors were super clean. I looked online at a ton of different vacuum, reading the reviews. Once we went to the store to see them in action, I spotted this one. We tested it and it won HANDS DOWN! Sears accepted the 20% Bed Bath & Beyond coupon so it made the purchase even better. We took it home and was astonished by how great it works. The compartment holding the dirt had to be emptied after EACH ROOM! That means our old vacuum wasn 't picking up anything below the surface. There was a ton of cat hear, dust and carpet powder (which we now vowed never to use again since it just stays in the carpet). Keep in mind that my husband had vacuum the whole house not even 24 hours before. This vacuum left those nice lines in the carpet sound show you how well it 's working, was easy to push and easy to empty. The rear wheels are so large they extar easily move all around the house and on tile floors as well. I love the fact that you can turn on or off the brush right on the handle so you can easily convert from your carpet to bare floors. I was gross out seeing how much it picked up, our daughter Realizing what had really been crawling on before. R RI would buy this over and over ... But I won 't have to since it has a 5-year warranty, when most only come with a 1-year warranty!
I just cleaned my house with this vacuum. I had to download all the dirt, dust and cat hair from the room twice! I was amazed at how much dirt is sucked out of my carpet! It is the children who suffer from allergies and I was happy to see how it worked! The hand held rotating brush has worked hard on my couch and stairs. Very pleased!
Despite this gap is a bit heavy (I guess they all are) has all the features I wanted. I like having the power agitator brush in the handle and really has a great aspiration. I 'm glad I bought this vacuum.
